Mission Statement
The mission of the Federation of Hellenic Societies of Greater New York inc. Culture
Committee is to:
• Heighten public awareness of Greek heritage and culture.
• Coordinate sponsorship of programs that celebrate Greek heritage and culture.
• Organize Greek Heritage and Culture activities annually.
• Promote the study of Greek language and culture among all ethnic groups.
• Engender pride in Greek-Americans regarding their own heritage.
• Assisting all the Committees of the Federation as needed.
Vision Statement
The Culture Committee of the Federation of Hellenic Societies of Greater New
York, Inc. will conduct, sponsor or participate in activities throughout the year, with special
emphasis
on Greek Heritage and Culture. The vision of the Federation’s Culture Committee is to be
a dynamic
Committee in the Greek-American community that will collaborate on and foster an
appreciation
of Greek and Greek American contributions to the world.
The Federation of Hellenic Societies of Greater New York Culture Committee will:
• Solicit funds to carry out its mission and fulfill its vision.
• Network with Greek and Greek American resources to gain active individual and group
participation.
• Assist in promoting Greek heritage, culture and language.

You are enthusiastically and wholeheartedly invited to join us to partake of, and participate
in, as many activities listed in the calendar of events as you are able. With us, the
members of the Federation of Hellenic Societies of Greater New York inc. Culture
Committee a Committee second to none in its enthusiasm and grace of
life as “Philhellenes” I encourage you to celebrate our rich heritage!
